List deliverables, time, revisions and dependencies before assigning a price. A detailed scope reduces misunderstandings and helps you estimate actual costs.

Quote versus invoice
A quote usually explains proposed work and its price before acceptance. An invoice requests payment for work or an agreed milestone.
03 · DEPOSITS
Calculate upfront payments
A 30% deposit on a $1,000 project is $300, leaving $700. Set deposit amounts and payment timing explicitly in the agreement.
